Wouldn't YOU Love the BEST Longarm Ruler, ever!!!?

YUP! I've joined the ranks of the ruler makers! I HAD to out of necessity. What is that line? "Necessity is the mother of invention"? I created two new rulers as I needed something to fit in the palm of my hand for ruler work. Last year I worked on a fabulous quilt that had at least 5,000 flying geese. OK, maybe not that many, but that's what it felt like when I was done. Here is a small bit of that quilt. It's going in a book, so I can only show this very tiny part for now.carlh2As I worked all the triangles, lines and ditches, my hand tired and I was frustrated by the ruler corner, catching, as I twisted and turned over the massive top. I kept thinking there had to be a better way! Well, here is a better way! The small ruler fits perfectly in the palm of my hand and the longer one is thin and easier for me to manipulate.rulersThe slim ruler measures 9" x 1 1/2". The palm ruler is 5" x 2 1/2". They both are made of 1/4" acrylic and have 1" registration marks for simple measurements. This gives you an idea of how it fits to my hand. The curved ends let it slide freely over any piecing with no ruler corners getting caught in seams and fabrics.13096240_619982401489373_3935782167267696187_n sedonaruler

I love these rulers for dense and tiny quilting.

How sweet is this hotpad? It was an orphaned block I found at my guilds' share pile a few months ago. I find some of the greatest cast offs and UFO's!

Finished! NOW, the best part of this whole story, is that I found this box full of rulers at my doorstep this afternoon. Guess what? They are available for purchase!
